Sophy is the Founding CEO of Indian Documentary Foundation a Non-Profit based in India. IDF work has been recognized for its social action campaigns. In 2014 she was the outreach producer for Oscar film maker Megan Mylan’s film After My Garden Grows. Films supported by IDF have raised finances for charitable causes, motivated new partners for documentary films and informed policy makers. For 11 years, Sophy was a producer and supervisor of over 150 Advertising films for leading Indian and International brands.
Sophy has been instrumental in linking the documentary genre with the Indian fiction industry and concentrates on building alliances and partnerships for IDF.
Nick Ware worked for many years at a senior level in the BBC in channels and commissioning, including as the Managing Editor of BBC Four; Creative Director of BBC Learning, and Commissioning Executive for Arts Programmes. He also was channel controller of the not-for-profit Community Channel in the UK, and channel manager of The Africa Channel.
Nick is now an executive producer and media consultant. Recent clients include Mercury Media International and The Wellcome Trust. Now based in France, he is working with international directors on a range of films, including Sour Grapes, directed by Jerry Rothwell.
Nick is International Director of the Indian Documentary Foundation, which has been set up to support documentary makers from India through training, events and capacity building. IDF produced the “Trigger Pitch” forums at the Kerala Film Festival in 2011 and 2012. In February 2014 it produced GoodPitch² India in partnership with BritDoc and The Sundance Institute.
Nick works with documentary producers, festivals and documentary events around the world including Docs Barcelona, Docs Lisboa, Sheffield DocFest, AfricaDoc, Italian Documentary Screenings, and at workshops and events for Ex Oriente, Documentary Campus, ESODOC, EDN, StoryDoc and many others. He has worked as a tutor, mentor, session producer and moderator.
Suyog has been with IDF since it's inception. Suyog provides financial information to management by searching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports, preparing Assets, Liabilities, Capital Accounts entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
He liaisons with the chartered accountant for preparation of various reports for management level, for preparation of income tax computation,TDS, Assets schedule and Audit reports. He also doubles up for the foundation as its administrative manager.
